Lecky Integration is led by Dr. Ned Lecky who teams with a broad range of engineers, scientists, integrators, OEMs, manufacturers, and designers to develop practical, state-of-the-art, application-specific hardware and software solutions in alternative energy, machine vision, and specialty embedded systems.
Ned has been a key member of the machine vision community since 1984 when he began his career as a system engineer for Control Automation, Inc. of Princeton NJ. He founded Intelec Corporation in 1992 and led the development of the popular Sherlock industrial machine vision software product, which was purchased by Imaging Technology (now DALSA) in 1995. He has been Director of Machine Vision Software Products at Imaging Technology, an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at University of Vermont, Electrical Engineering Manager at venture-startup MTI MicroFuel Cells, Engineering Manager at Simmons Machine Tool, and a Senior Engineer at GE Global Research. Ned has lectured and authored numerous articles on software design, algorithms, imaging, embedded systems, and machine vision. He has also developed graduate-level courses in machine vision, neural network-based control, and FPGA-based systems engineering. He is a member of the AIA and the IEEE.
